Is 3D Printing Difficult and Expensive ?

3D Printing! is it Easy or Hard ?

I am about to enter the world of 3D printing because i see the potential in it for my upcoming projects. I have no experience with 3D printing, and I want to see how difficult is it to start with 3D Printing, and does it have to be expensive ?

So I found a cheap 3D printer on Ali-express where you have to assemble it yourself. So i’m exited to see how difficult that is.

The printer i bought was a Tevo Tarantula

The price range is from 198$ to 390$ depending the options you choose. I ordered the default with bed auto-level and the 200x200x200 mm work area.

there are more cheap models from available, but i chose this one because of the aluminum frame, where many others have a acrylic frame. I think this will be easier to modify later in the process.

Received the printer today. So here are some pictures of what the Package contains.

I won’t get to much in detail about what the kit include until we go to assembly.

You get 2 rolls of filament one PLA and one ABS

The packaging is pretty good for such a cheap kit. Luckily because it looks like the postman have been playing football with the package.

I’m really looking forward to the assembly on this little machine. I will probably make a video of the assembly. Or maybe a timelapse. I haven’t decided yet, but i will try to document what problems i run into.

I will make updates on my sites and on YouTube as i move further in my 3D printing experience. I hope you will check back later to see how its going.

If you have any experience with cheap 3D printing please leave a comment below.
